To give a unique visual effect, I laminated Maple strips onto a long piece of Cherry. After the glue dries, I plane down the lamination to a uniform thickness. I then cut the box sides and assemble the box. I then cut slots for slip feathers and add maple slip feathers. The box is then ready for sanding. The top is two tone Birds Eye Maple with a cherry frame. The overall size is 12" long x 8" deep x 3 ½" tall, in side size is 1" less in length and 2 ½" deep.
